Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
  • Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable treatments or enhancements based on color theory and current trends
  • Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and workstations to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance
  • Stay updated on the latest nail techniques, products, and industry trends to deliver innovative services
  • Upsell additional services like eyelash extensions, body waxing, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
  • Manage retail sales of nail products, skincare items, and accessories while demonstrating excellent customer service skills
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that adheres to health regulations and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Valid cosmetology license with certification in nail care or related fields
  • Proven experience in performing a variety of nail treatments including gel, acrylics, and intricate nail art
  • Strong knowledge of color theory to create visually appealing designs tailored to each client's style
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients professionally and confidently
  • Familiarity with sanitation procedures and safety standards within a salon environment
  • Experience with hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, body waxing, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus
  • Ability to upsell services effectively through excellent customer service and retail math skills
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques combined with a friendly attitude for building client loyalty
