Water Resources Engineer, Water Management
, you'll join our Prairies and North Region Water Resources Engineering Group in Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon. This is your chance to apply your expertise to projects that safeguard communities, optimize water systems, and advance sustainability.

Your Impact

  • Deliver operational water management strategies that enhance system performance and resilience.
  • Apply GIS and mapping tools to create spatial datasets and models that inform critical decisions.
  • Lead hydraulic and hydrologic assessments that guide flood mitigation and watershed planning.
  • Analyze geomorphological processes to support sustainable river and watershed management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients and communities.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Geomatics, or related field.
  • Eligibility for registration with APEGA as a Professional Member (if applicable).
  • 5–10 years of experience in water resources or operational water management.
  • Proficiency in GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS), CAD, and Global Mapper; experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MIKE) is an asset.
  • Strong foundation in hydraulics, hydrology, and geomorphology, with a passion for applying science to real-world challenges.
