Overview

We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with the ability to read blueprints and work collaboratively on various projects. As a Taper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that surfaces are prepared and finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Apply tape and joint compound to seams and corners of drywall to create a smooth finish.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and layout.
  • Perform sanding and finishing tasks to prepare surfaces for painting or other treatments.
  • Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct caulking tasks as needed to seal gaps and joints for improved aesthetics and insulation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

  • Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading is essential for understanding project layouts.
  • Background in carpentry or maintenance person services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction painting processes will be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
