Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior System Support Engineer based in Calgary, AB. The Senior System Support Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical support, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, managing systems and operating environments, and maintaining network security. Key day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting technical problems, managing system performance, installing software updates, and ensuring the security and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware and software issues
  • Proficiency in System Administration and Operating Systems with the ability to manage updates, configurations, and general system performance
  • Strong understanding of Network Security principles and best practices to safeguard IT infrastructure and applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications are advantageous
  • Experience in the banking or financial services sector is an added advantage
  • Ability to work effectively on-site while collaborating with cross-functional teams
