Early Learner Math

Kumon is an after-school math and reading program that was founded in Japan in 1958. Kumon has a presence in 43 countries with more than 1,600 Kumon centers in North America alone.
We are seeking an energetic and organized individual who has the patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for early learning.
The Early Learner Assistant is responsible for assisting very young students in learning to read and develop excellent numeracy skills. This position also involves assignment correction, and preparing/organizing assignments for class.
Requirements:
- Enjoys working with very young children
- Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a childcare, preschool, tutoring, or educational setting
- Warm, caring, and approachable personality
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to follow structured lesson plans or activities while supporting individual learners
- Organizational skills for preparing materials and maintaining a safe, tidy environment
- Ability to work afternoons/early evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30pm-7:30pm
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- working with children: 1 year (preferred)
