This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties

  • Must be familiar with all aspects of all types of Transport trailers
  • Tire repair and change over considered an asset
    • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems

  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service

    Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions
  • Inspect and test mechanical units
  • Test and adjust units to specifications

    Area Of Specialization
  • Truck-trailer repair - Diesel Engines - Fuel and Emission Systems
  • Ignition and electrical systems - Standard Transmissions
  • AC, cooling and heating systems
  • Reefer Knowledge considered an assest
  • Welding Steel and aluminum Considered an asset

  • Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting various vehicle systems.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs.
  • Experience with welding is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
