McMillan has an exciting permanent opportunity as an Enterprise Application Support Specialist (IT & Financial Systems Applications) as part of the IT team. As a member of this innovative team, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining financial applications, systems and providing user support. The position will work closely with Finance group to implement and delivery system changes, operational environment, and interactions with 3rd party vendors.

What You'll Do

• Provide effective support for enterprise services / applications (both on-premise and cloud), with a focus on financial services. Participate in maintaining and enhancing firm application platforms and services through second-level support, monitoring, upgrades, and proactive maintenance. Collaborate on projects that involve updating and improving existing system
• Works closely with Enterprise Architecture Team, Finance and PMO group to schedule and implement projects and tasks
• Closely monitor and troubleshoot issues relating to legal applications (Intapp; Thomson Reuters Elite 3E and Cosine Broadcasts) and provide solutions
• Escalate and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture Team, vendor product support and third-party vendors in streamlining resolution for complex issues
• Analyze enhancement requests and work with business SME to ensure functional requirements are fully documented and changes implemented
• Provides timely and clear technical guidance for the financial application
• Performs regular regression and integration testing to ensure all development change is tested end-to-end
• Maintains up-to-date documentation to share knowledge with IT colleagues for future problem-solving issues
• Responds in a timely manner to inquiries within SLA resolution standards
• Demonstrate commitment to constantly improve the systems and processes to solve problems and enhance system efficiencies within the Firm
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring

• College Diploma or University degree in Computer Science or Accounting with a minimum of 7 years related progressive experience in IT
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with financial applications platforms
• Minimum of 4 years SQL server and relational database skills
• Experience with Thomson Reuters Elite 3E financial application platform is an asset
• Experience with Elite IDE  intApp Open is an asset
• Proficient in MS Office: Excel (Advanced Level Macros)
• Prior experience with Power Automate and PowerBI is an asset 
• Proficiency in one or more of the following ; Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, VB, Objective-C, C/C++, Python, ASP. NET is considered an asset
• Demonstrates high degree of problem-solving skills and ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in all circumstances, including very stressful situations. Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in creating appropriate system documentation is essential
• Strong analytical, accounting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to promote a collaborative work/team environment by presenting a professional and responsive attitude towards others and by demonstrating prompt and conscientious work habits
• Law Firm or Professional Services experience is also an asset
