Sales & Demand Planning Analyst
for our client, a well-established and growing organization in the sporting goods industry, located in Paris, Ontario.
The Sales & Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for sales forecasting and demand planning across assigned customers and product categories. This role focuses on forecast accuracy, inventory planning, and business analytics, working closely with Sales and leadership to support revenue targets and improve planning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage SKU-level sales and demand forecasts for assigned accounts
- Partner with Sales and Product teams to align forecasts with revenue goals
- Analyze sales trends, POS data, inventory levels, and market changes
- Provide planning insights to support inventory and capacity decisions
- Participate in cross-functional planning meetings and present forecast updates
- Monitor KPIs including forecast accuracy, inventory health, and customer fill rates
- Maintain demand planning systems and reporting (Excel, ERP, Anaplan)
- Support new product launches and product lifecycle planning
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in sales forecasting, demand planning, or inventory analysis, preferably within the CPG or retail industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical ability
- Experience with ERP systems i.e. JD Edwards
- Experience with demand planning tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Positive, solution-oriented, and team-focused mindset
Additional Information:
- 5 days on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Interest or background in sports
(baseball, softball, sporting goods)
would be ideal
