Role Overview 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you'll work alongside the Strategic Finance and Accounting & Corporate Reporting teams, supporting financial analysis, reporting, and special projects. You'll develop a strong understanding of how finance supports business decisions, collaborate with teams across the company, and build practical skills while contributing to a fast-growing, mission-driven pet food company.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in the preparation of recurring and ad hoc financial reports including monthly financial forecasts, budget vs actual analysis and variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end audit related tasks and month end financial close
• Support Strategic Finance Managers in the development and preparation of the company's long-term strategic plan through financial modeling.
• Aid in the creation of financial presentations for leadership, with clear visualizations of key data.
• Conduct data research and analysis, identify trends and potential areas for improvement across financial performance.
• Support the business in ad-hoc projects and special assignments as needed.
• All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications 

• Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and advanced spreadsheet functionality
• Prior internship experience in a corporate environment (nice to have)
• Experience in CPG, banking, or a similar analytical/business setting preferred
• Exposure to financial or business analysis through internships or academic projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Compensation: 
 
The hiring rate for this role is $21 per hour
