Junior Service Technician - Hot Tubs/Pools

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (some Sunday or Monday overtime during busy periods)

About the Role:

Hot Water LeisureScapes is a growing, professional pool and spa retail and service company looking for a Junior Service Technician to join our team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career in the pool, swim spa, and hot tub industry.

You'll work closely with senior technicians and teammates across a variety of service and installation tasks, including delivering and installing hot tubs. Each day brings new challenges, learning opportunities, and rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of hot tubs, swim spas, and pools

Perform drain and clean services, cover deliveries, and general shop duties

Assist with hot tub deliveries and installations, ensuring safe handling and customer satisfaction

Follow procedures, training, and safety standards provided by the company

Communicate professionally with customers and teammates

Maintain attention to detail, time management, and quality of workmanship

Work both independently and as part of a collaborative service team

Requirements

  • Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (non GDL)
  • Bondable and able to pass police clearance
  • Fluent in English (spoken, written and comprehension)
  • Proficient with general hand tools and volt meter use
  • Own steel-toed safety boots and weather-appropriate outdoor wear (uniform tops are provided at no charge)
  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Physically capable of lifting and safely handling heavy items (e.g., spa pumps, covers, and tubs)
  • Previous pool/spa experience not required — training is provided
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude is an asset
  • Your attention to detail, planning, time management and ability to work independently and with others is important.
  • Ability to communicate using professional and pleasant attitude with customers and teammates
  • Ability to use Microsoft 365, Jotform, and Mobile ZAC Phone app — training is provided
  • Personal cell phone connected to reliable cellular date. A monthly Cell Phone stipend is paid to you.

Work Days:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Start time 8:30am
  • Some Sunday and/or Monday shifts may be required as overtime during busy times.

Work Remotely: no

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting wage: From CA $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Raise after 30 days based on performance
  • Health Spending Account eligibility after 60 days
  • Paid overtime opportunities
  • Bonus pay potential for exceptional performance
