Role Impact:

Unique opportunity for joint internship between Cadillac Fairview (12 months) and HH Angus & Associates (4 months). This opportunity provides excellent experience for careers leading into engineering consulting, management consulting, and commercial real estate.

What you will deliver:

Cadillac Fairview - Toronto Dominion Centre (Onsite) - 12 Months

Reporting to the Manager, Operations for the Toronto Dominion Centre, the successful applicant will work closely with the senior operations team to assist with management of the largest commercial office property in Canada, the historic Toronto-Dominion Centre in downtown Toronto. You will work on a diverse array of challenges from monitoring and reducing energy consumption, to analyzing vendor performance data and assisting with management oversight, to planning capital budgets and running construction projects. You will be exposed to all areas of building engineering and operations, including Mechanical, Electrical, Building Automation Systems (BAS), utility metering, and energy management.

HH Angus - North York Office (Hybrid) - 4 Months

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Division, the successful applicant will take the hands-on knowledge gained at the TD Centre and apply it to the design and engineering of building systems. You will be assigned to assist with engineering design, tender, and construction administration for projects within the commercial sector. The TD Centre is one of Cadillac Fairview's flagship properties, where HH Angus provides top-tier service. 

What you need to succeed:

  • Working towards a Post-Secondary education in Engineering or a related field (preferred disciplines Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills, along with experience working with databases and the use of statistics
  • Proficient with computer software such as: Google Docs and Microsoft Office - particularly spreadsheets
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage priorities in a demanding and continually changing fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and positive attitude
  • Experience with building systems and theory considered an asset
  • Experience in a corporate work environment is considered an asset
