Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires proficiency in transportation management systems and strong analytical skills to optimize supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of freight deliveries.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery statuses.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving documentation accurately and promptly.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the supply chain process.
- Maintain organized records of all dispatch activities, including freight invoices and delivery confirmations. Ensure invoices are sent out in a timely manner to clients.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette while handling multi-line phone systems to address inquiries from clients and drivers.
- Arrange driver shift schedule to ensure all areas are covered
- Other duties assigned by management as needed
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the Lower Mainland's geography is required.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and aptitude to learn new software systems (ie Microsoft excel)
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.

Employment Type: Independent contractor (Part time)
Shifts Schedule: Mon - Fri 10:00am to 2:00pm, Weekend as needed
