We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Despatch Operator for flatbed operations to join our logistics team. This role is vital in coordinating the timely dispatch of freight, ensuring that shipments are loaded, documented, and dispatched efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess experience with heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and freight management, contributing to the smooth flow of our transportation processes. Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize freight for dispatch on flatbed trucks, ensuring proper loading and securing of cargo

• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to schedule dispatch times and routes
• Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including manifests, delivery orders, and safety compliance records
• Conduct routine inspections of freight and equipment to ensure safety standards are met
• Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to support vehicle readiness
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies during dispatch operations
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and management to resolve any issues promptly

Qualifications

• flatbed despatch experience
• Knowledge of freight handling procedure
• Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for maintaining vehicle safety and functionality
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
