Job Opportunity: Facilities and Member Services Manager

Location: Aforza Tennis and Padel Tennis Club, Calgary, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-Time

Aforza Tennis and Padel Club, one of Calgary's year-round premier sports facilities, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities and Member Services Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, maintain our high-quality facilities, and deliver an exceptional member experience.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in customer service, sports

facility management, and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will combine operational expertise with

a hands-on approach to managing staff, facilities, and member services.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Operations Oversight:

Ensure maintenance and upkeep of all club facilities, coordinating repairs and managing relationships with vendors.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and report necessary improvements.

Assist in planning and executing facility projects and renovations to minimize disruption.

Support budget planning for facility maintenance and improvements.

Membership and Administrative Management

Oversee scheduling, membership tracking, and inventory management.

Manage Club Booking software processes related to payments, membership tracking, and reporting.

Ensure smooth execution of administrative processes and staff training related to front desk and member

services.

Manage daily front desk operations to ensure efficient customer service.

Maintain staff workflows, procedures, scheduling and operational structure at the front desk.

Leadership and Oversight

Provide guidance to front desk staff, including hiring support, performance evaluations, vacation approvals,

scheduling, and other disciplinary actions.

Act as the primary contact for staff concerns in areas under your oversight.

Collaborate closely with the COO on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Sport & Recreation Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facility management, sports operations, or member services, preferably

in a recreational or sports club setting.

Strong knowledge of payment systems, point-of-sale operations, and administrative software.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a track record of creating positive experiences for

members and clients.

Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor staff.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Experience coordinating maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades.

Knowledge of safety, health, and accessibility standards in sports facilities.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
