Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for woodworking, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to produce fine custom cabinetry from start to finish. You will be responsible for interpreting design plans, selecting and preparing materials, constructing cabinets, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret detailed shop drawings, and design specifications.
- Select, measure, cut, shape, and assemble hardwood and other materials to create custom cabinetry.
- Operate and maintain a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools, including table saws, jointers, planers, routers, and sanders.
- Construct and install cabinet components, including doors, drawers, shelves, and hardware.
- Perform precise joinery techniques, including mortise and tenon and dado joints.
- Sand, finish, and assemble cabinets to achieve a flawless final product.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and within established timelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in custom cabinet making.
- Proven proficiency in working with a variety of hardwoods.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, and cabinet construction.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and shop drawings.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Build custom moldings and panels with both MDF and solid woods.
- Build custom design hoods
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have Leadership qualities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in cabinet making or woodworking.
- Experience with various finishing techniques.
