Analyst - Sales Operations (Utilities)

We are seeking a data-driven Analyst to support Sales Operations and Inventory initiatives within our utility business for Canada As an Analyst - Sales Operations, you will blend sales analytics, inventory analytics, and system expertise to help drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing large sales and performance datasets specific to Sourcing, Catalog, Supplier, Inventory and Project Management. You will be responsible for providing analytical support to sales leaders throughout the assigned Business Unit(s). This position is designated as hybrid for candidates local to the home office. Remote work arrangements may be considered for non-local applicants whose experience aligns with role requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future trends.
- Build compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models that helps in deriving meaningful business insights from large and complex datasets.
- Gather requirements and design performance reports and forecasting reports for the Global Sales teams.
- Gather, publish, and maintain information related to historical, current, and future sales performance.
- Assist in developing sophisticated solutions, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tools to achieve and support the business goals.
- Collaborate on identified ad hoc business problem-solving requests.
Qualifications:
- Associates' Degree required; Bachelors' Degree preferred
- 2+ years of related experience
- 4+ years of related experience preferred
- Knowledge of B2B Supply Chain, including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), Electrical, Inventory, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Pricing, etc.
- Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to visualize data to tell a story that allows the end user to make informed decisions and take actions
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify potential problems and propose possible solutions
- Understanding of latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize tools and processes preferred
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
LI-Hybrid
Compensation Details $60,423 - $78,550 Annually
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package.
