Job Description:

It's an hybrid position. You will have to come in office (downtown Montreal) once per week.

Specific schedule: Must be available from 8h00 AM- 8h00 PM (rotational shift)

In this role, you will support clients who are at or approaching retirement by guiding, and recommending wealth and insurance solutions relevant to their unique situations.

As a Retirement Consultant, you are a team player who enjoys helping our clients plan, and make informed decisions for retirement.  You are a solution oriented, strong communicator, who uses active listening to understand client needs and provide tailored and timely recommendations.  As a member of the Client Solutions Centre (CSC) you will benefit from our culture of coaching and support; through motivational and inspirational leadership your Retirement Sales Manager will empower you to make a difference in our clients' lives.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, Client Solutions you will:

• Proactively call and take calls from existing Group Retirement Savings plan members who are retiring or approaching retirement in order to assist them through their retirement income options

• Assess clients' insurance needs with the goal of providing the appropriate solutions for life insurance, health & dental and critical illness

• Help clients be 'retirement ready' through the use of planning tools

• Conduct investment risk assessments to determine clients' risk tolerance, and provide solutions aligned with their risk profile

• Introduce clients to a Sun Life Advisor to assist with an identified need for holistic financial advice

• Foster and participate in a work environment that values people, invites creativity, and celebrates learning

• Stay informed of departmental and industry product, policy, and procedure changes

• Contribute to the CSC's ongoing success by sharing feedback and providing insights that will help to improve our client experience 

Requirements:

• A valid and active Life License in Ontario (LLQP) or Insurance of person license in Quebec (1a), is a requirement of this role

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation

• Minimum 3 years of related sales and/or service experience (sales experience preferred)

• Excellent communication skills

• Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required to answer calls from English and French speaking clients across Canada and worldwide

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
