About the Opportunity

One of our clients in the retail sector is looking for an Application Developer for a permanent position. In this role, you will help build and sustain the applications that keep products moving safely and efficiently, supporting teams who rely on accurate, stable, and scalable systems every day.

As a Programmer Analyst, you will participate in the full application development lifecycle, working closely with operations and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into practical, high-impact solutions. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern applications, solving complex problems, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within a respected Canadian organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will develop, maintain, and support sustainable business applications that improve performance and reliability.
  • You will design, code, test, and implement application components using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, WCF, and SQL Server.
  • You will build REST APIs and SOAP services and enhance front-end components as needed.
  • You will conduct functional testing, end-user validation, and performance testing using tools like JMeter or BlazeMeter.
  • You will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and project teams to streamline workflows and elevate decision support.
  • You will assist with Azure cloud deployments, SaaS integrations, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • You will support modernization initiatives, including refactoring legacy code and improving system processes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an application development or programmer analyst role.
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, REST APIs, and SOAP.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, relational database development, and query optimization.
  • Experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and for front-end enhancements.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach
