Birchview Excavating is a full-service excavating company specializing in high-quality landscaping projects around the lakes—from mainland to island work—serving Peterborough and the surrounding area. We take pride in delivering well-executed projects through teamwork, clear communication, and attention to detail.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager to lead and oversee both small- and large-scale projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys coordinating people and processes, and takes ownership of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from initiation through completion
  • Manage schedules, budgets, materials, and subcontractors
  • Lead and communicate effectively with crews, vendors, and clients
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
  • Problem-solve on site and adapt to changing conditions
  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting throughout each project

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management (construction, excavation, or landscaping preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in both office and field settings
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused
  • A true team player with a positive, professional attitude
