Resilient Consulting is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to support and lead municipal and conservation authority water resources projects across Southern Ontario. This role is suited to a technically strong, client-focused professional who is ready to take ownership of project delivery while working within a nimble and collaborative consulting environment.
At Resilient, Project Managers play a central role in shaping projects—from technical direction and client engagement through to construction delivery—while contributing to work that reduces flood risk, enhances water quality, restores natural systems, and strengthens community resilience.
About Resilient Consulting
Founded in 2018, Resilient Consulting is a specialised consulting engineering firm delivering
municipal water resources and environmental engineering services
to Municipalities and Conservation Authorities throughout Southern Ontario. We are recognised for practical, high-quality engineering, responsive client service, and deep technical expertise in water resources and environmental infrastructure.
Our team structure is intentionally small (fewer 25 staff), technically strong, and collaborative enabling Project Managers to remain hands-on technically while exercising meaningful leadership over projects, clients, and junior staff.

The Opportunity
The Project Manager will lead single and multi-disciplinary water resources assignments, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and overseeing technical delivery, budgets, schedules, and quality control. The Project Manager will also oversee the work of sub-consultants to ensure a high standard of quality while keeping project delivery on time and on budget. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, supported by collaboration with other Project Managers and oversight by Senior Management.

7–10 years of relevant experience
, strong municipal or conservation authority exposure, and demonstrated success managing projects and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Project Manager for municipal and conservation authority water resources assignments
- Serve as the primary client liaison, managing communications, expectations, deliverables and budgets
- Lead and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater, floodplain, and watercourse projects
- Oversee preparation of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documentation
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resourcing, and risk
- Provide technical mentorship and direction to junior engineers and designers
- Lead or support contract administration, site inspections, and construction coordination
- Ensure all work complies with applicable municipal, provincial, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation in Ontario
- 7–10 years of experience in water resources engineering, preferably in consulting
- Demonstrated experience managing projects for municipal and/or conservation authority clients
- Proven ability to work directly with clients and maintain long-term professional relationships
- Strong technical background in modelling, design and contract administration
- Experience with tools such as PCSWMM, Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Possession of a valid G driver's licence, a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to construction sites and complete field work and site inspections as required

Work Environment
Resilient Consulting operates in a
remote work environment, with staff based in the Greater Toronto Area
, offering flexible work hours. The Project Manager must be available for
meetings, field work, and construction inspections within the Greater Toronto Area
on an as-needed basis. The role requires a high degree of independence, accountability, and proactive communication using Microsoft Teams, phone, and email.
