Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitters A
to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Calgary. We specialize in facility maintenance service contracts, along with mechanical and electrical construction. Our Alberta portfolio includes projects across Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Hinton, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat.
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic individual with construction experience who is eager to help expand our business and grow into a leadership role within the company. Our construction and service line of business is exponentially growing.
Responsibilities:
- Be a Lead hand for the construction crew, providing guidance and support as needed
- Perform gas fitting work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct cross connection and backflow prevention maintenance & Repair.
- Conduct Annual boiler maintenance for both steam and Hot water Boilers as per ABSA.
- Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
- Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs
- Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines
- Replace & Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (40,000 & 60,000 BTU)
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
- Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements
- Supervisory roles and responsibilities may also be delegated as and when necessary. Which will be based on the customer requirement and operational necessity
- Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Journeyman Plumber Certificate with a minimum of 5 years' experience is required
- Class A Gas Fitter License is preferred.
- Construction Experience is Required
- Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.
- Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
- Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to read drawings and blueprints
- Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
