Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of horses and their environment, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy space for the animals. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working with animals.

Duties

  • Clean and maintain stables, including mucking out stalls and ensuring proper bedding is provided.
  • Feed and water horses according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
  • Groom horses, including brushing, bathing, and checking for injuries or health issues.
  • Assist with the tacking up of horses for riding or exercise sessions.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used in the care of horses, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of horses, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Assist with general farm tasks as required, including heavy lifting of feed bags or hay bales.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with horses is required
  • Strong physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks consistently throughout the day.
  • Good Communication Skills
