We're looking for a passionate and organized Chef to join our amazing team at Stouffville Village Child Care
About the Role:
As our Centre Chef, you'll prepare nutritious, tasty meals and snacks for the children in our care. You'll prepare menus, manage stock and inventory, and ensure all meals meet dietary and allergy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks each day
· Plan seasonal menus in line with nutrition and licensing guidelines
· Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
· Manage food orders, deliveries, and inventory
· Cater for allergies and special dietary needs
· Work collaboratively with educators, management, and our amazing team
What We're Looking For:
· Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen (child care, school or group home experience a plus)
· Knowledge of food safety and nutrition for children
· Certificate in Food Handling
· Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
· A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine love for children
Hours:
· Monday to Friday, daytime hours only – no nights or weekends
