Job Title: Warehouse Manager – 3PL Operations

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) warehouse. This role is responsible for managing a team of approximately 40 warehouse associates, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, safe handling of diverse customer products, and smooth scheduling of all inbound and outbound transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of ~40 warehouse employees, including leads, pickers, loaders, Customer service team, machine operators, and truck drivers.
  • Coordinate daily labor planning, staffing levels, and task assignments.
  • Train and mentor team members to maintain high performance, accuracy, and safety standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when necessary.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all picking, packing, loading, unloading, put away, and inventory movement across the facility.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of a wide range of customer goods, including palletized freight, loose items, rolled goods, and special-handling products.
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and operational flow to meet KPIs for efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

Transportation & Scheduling

  • Manage the scheduling of truckloads, pickups, and drop-offs with carriers, brokers, and customer logistics teams.
  • Monitor dock activity and coordinate dock assignments to maintain efficient inbound and outbound flow.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and exceptions while maintaining transparent communication with customers and drivers.

Customer & Cross-Functional Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer service teams and external clients regarding warehouse activity.
  • Ensure customer requirements and service levels are met consistently.
  • Collaborate with inventory control, transportation, and operations management to solve problems and improve processes.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce Work safe and company safety rules and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, quality, and operational standards.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles (3PL environment strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, WMS systems, and logistics workflows.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating inbound/outbound freight.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing teams of 30+ employees.
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking, continuous improvement, and lean processes.
  • Forklift certification or knowledge of MHE operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
