Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the well-being and care of animals in our facility, ensuring they are healthy, safe, and comfortable.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and cleaning enclosures
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with handling and restraining animals for examinations or treatments
- You must have friendly communication skills as you will be assisting reception with answering phone calls and booking appointments.
- Follow established protocols for animal care and handling
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. bend frequently, and stand for extended periods of time
-You will be in charge of disinfection of hospital areas including vacuum, dust, mop, to ensure all areas of the hospital are kept clean, with particular attention paid to the consultation rooms, treatment area, surgical and radiology suites.
Experience
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
