Key Objective:
As a
Specialty Commercial Lines Underwriter
, you'll operate at the core of our underwriting platform. Using smart tech, speed, and strategic insight to optimize risk decisions and deliver winning broker outcomes. This isn't manual mode underwriting
Key Accountabilities:
- Apply a specialized P&C lens to structure competitive, profitable placements
- Our advanced tech removes friction, so you can stay focused on underwriting excellence and legendary service levels
- Negotiate renewals with confidence and precision using unmatched product and market insight
- Balance complex underwriting discipline with creative agility; using your authority to tackle complex risks in innovative ways
- Jump into special initiatives and curveballs when they appear, your adaptability helps the whole team level up

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial underwriting experience
- CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or active progression toward industry credentials
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, with strong customer service instincts
- Inclusive, transparent, and collaborative, with the resilience to thrive in fast-paced environments
- General Insurance License in good standing (or the ability to obtain one within 60 days)
Salary Range:
CAD $65,000-$110,000
*Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates' knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.
