Toronto, Ontario, Canada Research Capital Corporation Full time

We are seeking a skilled administrative assistant to Registered Investment Advisors for our Toronto office. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting a fast-paced brokerage firm with day-to-day administrative tasks in its retail department and learn from successful advisors focused on delivering investment guidance and services to high-net-worth individuals and families.

The ideal candidate has polished organizational and communication skills and is self-motivated with an excellent "can-do" work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for client meetings
  • Respond to client inquiries on administrative questions
  • Follow up with prospective clients and clients on active inquiries
  • Ensure client accounts are processed accurately including account opening/closing and transfers
  • Assist with client outreach including email, correspondence, and telephone communication
  • Various aspects of general administration
  • Communicate with head office associates on compliance and operations matters
  • Maintain a current understanding of the regulatory landscape

Your Skills:

  • Work well both individually and as part of a team
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 10
  • Quick learner adept to grasping new technologies and processes
  • Organized, focused, and capable of working under tight deadlines
  • Must have excellent communication skills, driven to deliver client service excellence
  • Strong analytical and resolution skills with attention to detail

Your Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a finance/business related discipline, or equivalent work experience (within the brokerage industry is preferred but not mandatory)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a general administrative setting
  • Willingness to get an industry license

This is an immediate hire position and therefore only candidates already domiciled in the Greater Toronto Area and legally able to work in Canada will be considered.
