Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, hauling various machines, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires being able to think outside the box, perform well under pressure, and the ability to handle various roadside situations professionally. This position plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our company's reputation for prompt and dependable service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles to designated locations.
- Assist customers with roadside assistance needs in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of tow trucks to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage paperwork accurately for each tow, including logs and service reports.
- Coordinate with dispatch to prioritize calls and ensure timely responses.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tow truck and work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations.
Requirements
- Valid AZ/DZ License
- Proven experience in commercial driving, automotive repair, or related fields preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive systems are highly desirable.
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients under stressful situations.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks required for vehicle recovery. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction are paramount.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
