Overview

The Village Dentist is a warm, community-focused dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. We're currently looking for a Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our growing team and help us continue delivering excellent patient experiences.

Hours:

Mondays and Tuesdays: 11:00am-7:00pm

Wednesdays: 9:00am- 5:00pm

Thursday: 9:00am-6:00pm

Saturdays (2/month): 9:00am-3:00pm

What You'll Do

  • Provide thorough dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing, and preventive care
  • Educate patients on oral health and hygiene practices
  • Take and review dental radiographs as required
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Work collaboratively with dentists and team members to support patient care

Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix software.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and questions.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in a dental office setting, particularly with pediatric patients, is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential for fostering positive patient relationships.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting practices is beneficial for collaboration within the team.
