Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located at our Brampton office. The Senior Staff Accountant is expected to work in collaboration with the Operations Manager and is expected to perform advanced accounting practices. The Senior Staff Accountant would also work with our bookkeepers to ensure seamless operations and lead with integrity and spirit. Responsibilities include managing financial statements, overseeing tax preparation processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and coordinating with the staff. The role also involves optimizing workflows, supporting client relationships, and contributing to the overall operational strategy of the firm.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Financial Statements and Accounting practices
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Corporate and Personal Tax Preparation and Certified Public Accounting (CPA)
  • Strong understanding of Finance-related principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with accounting software and technology solutions (QuickBooks, Xero, Hubdoc, Cosmolex, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation is preferred but not required.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
