Edmonton AB TJ J, Canada Guru Kitchen + Bar (Ice District) Full time $45,000 - $65,000 per year

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing / performing daily operations: Hosting, Managing food and beverage orders, Guest communication, Managing private dinning reservations, ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards, and leading a motivated team to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily F&B operations in dining, bar, or event areas.
  • Train, mentor, and lead front-of-house staff to deliver top-tier customer service.
  • Monitor quality of service and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
  • Support the F&B Manager in staff scheduling, performance reviews, and daily reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist in ordering as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills to efficiently serve multiple customers during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food & beverage or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in hospitality management or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid PROSERVE.
  • Solid Understanding of Bartending & Wines is a must.
