  • Managing Workstations: Keep workstations clean and organized throughout the shift, ensuring proper hygiene practices and efficient workflow.
  • Portion Control and Waste Reduction: Follow portion control standards to minimize food waste while maintaining consistency in product quality and presentation.
  • Collaborating with Team: Work closely with other kitchen staff and manager to ensure smooth operation during busy periods, and assist in training new cooks or kitchen helpers.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to answer questions about prepared foods, accommodate special requests, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting with Catering Orders: Prepare and package foods for catering or special events, ensuring that orders are accurate, properly labeled, and ready for pickup or delivery.
  • Monitoring Food Safety: Regularly check food temperatures, expiration dates, and storage practices to comply with food safety regulations and prevent contamination.
