Position Overview:
The Relief Maintenance Worker is responsible for the general maintenance, cleaning, grounds, and security functions of the Health Centre at Vibrant Community Health along with keeping the Corporate Administrator informed of maintenance staffing and building coverage.

Summary of Duties:
- Perform general preventative facility maintenance and repair duties.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Work with Corporate Administrator to ensure scheduling of regular testing of emergency and other building systems.
- Provide general maintenance services, such as changing light bulbs, performing minor repairs and small paint jobs.
- Maintain an acceptable standard of cleanliness and sanitation across the site, accomplished through vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting disinfecting, collection of garbage and recyclables, etc.
- Ensure the building adheres to safety standards.
- Provide general clean-up and upkeep, including power washing the front and rear of the site.
- Ensure maintenance of garden, including regular watering and weeding.
- Set-up of meeting rooms, as requested and required.
- Participate in monthly building inspections and maintain a repair log.
- Participate in required staff and team meetings and ad hoc committees as required.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Vibrant Community Health.
- Maintain and further their competence and knowledge relevant to their practice through appropriate continuing education activities.
- Participate in other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Diploma in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years general maintenance experience in a health setting
