About the Role:

You will assist Freeman Herbs Inc and the Senior Logistics Coordinator, in the effective coordination and distribution of our fresh produce by effectively planning, executing, and assisting in the optimization of our supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of our fresh produce to customers and retailers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Route and schedule deliveries and pickups throughout Ontario

· Prepare driver paperwork daily for outbound freight

· Maintain US and Canadian freight cost spreadsheets

· Prepare customs paperwork for U.S. bound shipments

· Coordinate repair and maintenance service of fleet

· Assist with training of new drivers

· Main contact for all driver issues and escalate as needed

· Manage truck rentals during busy season; maintain records, and arrange for repair and maintenance as issues arise.

· After hours support for drivers

· Greet and assist guests arriving at the front door

· Assist with process improvement and cost saving initiatives

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

Post-secondary diploma/degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field

A team player, that views success as a collective effort

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to work evenings/partial weekends based on departmental needs (i.e. peak spring season).
