RunReady, the running health brand, is advancing the sport through research, innovation, and education. Led by Physiotherapists, it studies the human body and running footwear to help people run healthier and perform better. 

RunReady is part of a company that includes RunAsYouAre, a Vancouver-based specialty shop offering top footwear, apparel, and accessories. Since 2013, RunAsYouAre has supported the local running community through weekly runs and events. 

RunReady has launched the RunReady Performance Program, a new running health service available exclusively at the RunAsYouAre West 4th Avenue shop.

THE ROLE

As a RunReady Physiotherapist, you'll provide high-quality running assessments and personalized exercise programs, offered exclusively at the RunAsYouAre West 4th Avenue shop. Using clinical expertise and judgment, you'll develop tailored care plans to help clients run better, faster, and stronger.

Joining us in the early stages of the RunReady Performance Program gives you a unique opportunity to shape our services and contribute to building an innovative brand in the running industry. You'll collaborate with fellow RunReady Physiotherapists and cross-functional teams—including Technology, Brand, Operations, and Community—to expand the program's reach through special initiatives and events.

You'll also have access to ongoing mentorship and clinical education, both within the organization and through external resources, including our footwear brand partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIn-Store Delivery of RunReady Performance Program | 75%

• Deliver high-quality RunReady Performance Program services, consistently meeting performance standards. Program elements include:
• • ASSESS: Conduct movement and treadmill assessments.
  • MATCH: Partner with the Run Specialist team to recommend footwear based on RunReady performance scores, providing expert, therapist-centered footwear education.
  • PRESCRIBE: Develop customized exercise programs to optimize running health and performance.
• Build strong client relationships through 1:1 assessments and guided exercise training, prioritizing clinical reasoning and client goals.
• Work in partnership with the with RunReady and RunAsYouAre teams to consistently deliver an exceptional client experience, taking a holistic approach to supporting our clients throughout their running journey

RunReady Product Development | 15%

• As a member of the RunReady Physiotherapist team, grow and evolve the RunReady exercise library through activities including:
• • Developing new exercises targeting strength, flexibility, and stability for runners
  • Maintaining an intelligent, searchable exercise database with relevant therapy data points
  • Participating in the management of filming and photography events
• Partner with our Technology team to develop our signature product, the RunReady Performance Program, through ongoing feedback and suggestions on how to:
• • Field test and iterate on assessments based on real-time feedback
  • Enhance recommendation logic for footwear and exercises
  • Streamline the practitioner and client user experience
• Collaborate with our Run Specialist team to implement a seamless end to end client footwear matching and fitting experience that utilizes the principles of the RunReady Performance Program throughout 

Community + Events | 10%

• Support Brand & Marketing in promoting RunReady programs through community outreach and advocacy
• Provide clinical context to footwear and special campaign launches 
• Educate team and community members on the RunReady Performance Program through workshops and other educational events
• Engage with local referral sources and community partners to grow our client base and support the development of your caseload

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed and in good standing with your affiliated college
• Specialization in run-specific assessments and treatment is an asset
• Required to maintain individual professional liability insurance with a minimum  coverage of $3 million CAD per occurrence
• Ability to meet the scheduling requirements of this position hours / week in person at our studio on West 4th in Kitsilano, Vancouver
• Familiarity with Run Specialty / Retail is an asset
