Now we're looking for a skilled and motivated Meat Clerk / Butcher Team Lead to oversee our meat operations at the Railside Commissary.

What you'll do

  • Lead daily meat production operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and safety standards are met
  • Cut, trim, and prepare meats and poultry according to company specifications
  • Support ordering, receiving, and inventory control for all meat and poultry products
  • Train, schedule, and support team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization within the department
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen, deli, and distribution teams to meet internal and retail needs
  • Troubleshoot equipment or supply issues and coordinate solutions with management

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter, ideally in a leadership or senior role
  • Strong understanding of meat preparation, storage, and food safety standards
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented work habits
  • Comfortable working in a production kitchen environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
