Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for finishing by removing contaminants, rust, and old paint using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for coating or finishing.
  • Select appropriate blasting materials based on the type of surface and desired finish.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to company policies regarding waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sandblasting or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of different blasting materials and their applications is a plus.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
  • Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques or equipment as necessary.
