Pay: $17.89 per hour
Work mode: Onsite and Hybrid work modes (vary based on position)
Hours of work:*
Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. (Note: Some Labour Support roles may require evening or weekend shifts)

*Work Term & Compensation:*

• A competitive hourly wage
• Consistent income from May 4 to August 28, 2026
• Biweekly paychecks
• Vacation pay as a percentage of income earned
• The option to join OMERS

*Key Dates (Approximate):*

• January 30, 2026: Job posting closes
• February 2026: Screening and interviews (returning students are exempt from interviews)
• March/April 2026: Offers and onboarding packages sent via email
• May 4, 2026: Start date
• August 28, 2026: End date

Opportunities: We have two (2) streams for you to choose from - Administrative S upport and Labour Support.
1. Administrative S upport
Here's Some Examples Of Tasks You May Expect:

• Interact with internal departments, and external stakeholders
• Job shadow staff to learn more about your career goals
• Help manage general phone lines and action requests or direct calls
• Call clients on behalf of colleagues, scheduling of appointments
• Write correspondence to external agencies, clients or vendors
• Work with colleagues on day-to-day tasks and special projects

2. Labour Support
Here's Some Examples Of Tasks You May Expect:

• Greet customers, provide excellent service
• Work at various centres across the Region including community recycling centres, road operations, and housing communities.
• Maintain and clean heavy equipment, light vehicles, and garbage compactor equipment
• Provide traffic control
• Help with landscaping, mowing, gardening, painting and litter pickup
• Load and unload supplies and equipment

*Qualifications And Requirements:*

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a post-secondary program or planning to start full-time post-secondary studies in September 2026.
• A satisfactory Level 1 Criminal Record Check obtained directly from a police station (third-party background checks will not be accepted)
• Available to work from May 4 to August 28, 2026.
• Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

*Additional Requirements For Certain Roles:*

• A valid "G" driver's license in good standing may be required.
• Safety boots with Green Patch Certification (note: reimbursement is not provided by the Region of Peel).

*Nice To Have:*

• Previous experience in office work, labor roles, or volunteering is an asset.
• Familiarity with manual and power tools is an asset

Location:
Administrative Support Roles:
Work arrangements may be onsite or hybrid, depending on business needs. The frequency of onsite work is determined by operational requirements, with a minimum of two days per week on-site. For hybrid roles, your work location must be within Ontario.

Labour Support Roles:
These positions are onsite and may require reporting to multiple locations across the Region of Peel.
