About the Position

Cornwallis Farms Ltd. Is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team starting in January. This position involves a variety of farm-related duties: working with equipment, maintaining facilities, and caring for poultry. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready each day, and values teamwork, safety and respect.

Responsibilities

· Clean and prepare chicken barns for new flocks

· Perform general farm maintenance (equipment upkeep, mowing, plowing snow, painting, cleaning, etc.)

· Operate tractors and assist with fieldwork as needed

· Assist with poultry care and egg collection

· Manage and monitor chicken barns as opportunities arise

· Follow all food safety, biosecurity, and animal care protocols

Qualifications

· Valid Class 5 driver's license ( Class 3 license considered an asset)

· Experience with tractors and/ or working in poultry barns preferred

· Reliable attendance and punctuality (some weekend/ evening work required)

· Physically able to lift, pull, and push materials safely; must be comfortable standing for long periods

· Comfortable working with live poultry

· Comfortable working in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, odors, noise)

· Positive, respectful attitude towards coworkers and animals

· Criminal record check may be required
