The Fort St John Hospital Foundation is a charitable organization that has a significant role in our community and North Peace region. The Executive Director position is the opportunity for a visionary leader to have a high impact in measurable and meaningful ways through actualizing the vision, mission and Board strategic plan of the Fort St John Hospital Foundation.
The Foundation has a proud history of a governance Board supporting and guiding the Executive Director and collaboratively demonstrating dedication to the community. Together the Executive Director and the Board harmonize stewardship of donor relationships and stakeholder engagement, through responsible decisions, financial management and continuous focus on agility, to meet the needs of the Fort St John Hospital Foundation and the Peace Villa Residential Care Facility.
The new Executive Director will demonstrate a level of character and integrity that actively models the Foundations' presence in our community so we can continue to contribute to the best care possible, infrastructure that saves lives and enhancing patient care for Fort St John and area.
Reporting into the FSJ Hospital Foundation Board, the Executive Director manages, directs and coordinates in a multitude of areas, with critical focus primarily:
Key Accountabilities
Fundraising:
· Leadership strategies in fundraising and best practices in program design
· Management and growth strategies for donations and endowments
· Engagement and stewardship of community stakeholders and collaborative partners
· Communication and relationship management technologies to demonstrate transparency and continuous improvement in funding access for the highest needs
Administration & Financial Management
· Directs the general administration and management of the day to day business operations
· Preparation of budgets, compliance and investment requirements
· Board reporting, financial statements and implementation of policies and procedures as approved by the Board
· Recruit and supervise staff, volunteers and where applicable, contractors
Communication & Public Relations
· Actively maintain a high profile in the community and maintain positive relations with the FSJ Hospital, proactive donor communication and stakeholder participation in programs
· Consistent presence and visibility in the community as a spokesperson for the Foundation and strategic partner in implementing the strategic priorities
· Develop and implement effective communication practices and modalities for the Foundation, the donors and stakeholders to ensure engagement, and fundraising initiatives success
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
