The Queen's Rocket Engineering Team (QRET) is a passionate group of undergraduate students dedicated to designing, building, testing, and launching rockets up to 30,000ft for international competitions. Beyond launching rockets, we strive to provide every member with opportunities to learn, develop industry-transferable skills, and collaborate on an incredible cross-disciplinary project.
This role is open to students from all faculties, with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Whether your expertise lies in rocket systems or business strategy, your leadership can help propel QRET to greater success.
What You'll Do as President:- Hire and lead the Vice Presidents and administrative team
- Oversee technical projects and operational logistics
- Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure subteam progress and accountability
- Lead the creation of competition deliverables
- Leadership and team management experience
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Collaboration mindset and a vision for success
- Experience with solid and/or hybrid rocket systems
- Project management for complex technical designs
- Logistics planning and resource management
- Sponsorship development and outreach
- Event coordination and marketing strategies
