We are currently recruiting for a Machine Tool Maintenance Engineer. A Machine Tool Maintenance Engineer ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. They diagnose issues in CNC machines, robotics, and industrial tools, implementing strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance. These professionals work in manufacturing environments, combining engineering principles with hands-on technical skills to extend equipment life.

A Machine Tool Maintenance Engineer works to provide continuous, safe, and efficient operation of industrial machine tools by performing preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. They diagnose technical faults, install new equipment, optimize system performance, and maintain safety standards. They develop maintenance schedules, manage repair teams of skilled technicians to accomplish weekly, monthly, semiannual and annual maintenance of machine tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Scheduling and conducting routine inspections and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic malfunctions.
  • Installation: Installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment or machinery.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all machinery operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • System Optimization: Improving equipment reliability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Documentation & Inventory: Managing spare parts inventory and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Staff Training: Training operators on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A diploma or degree from a reputable college or university in mechanical engineering, technology, or manufacturing engineering technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in PLC programming, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and repair complex, unexpected issues.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate with production teams and supervise technicians.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varied, often demanding, industrial environments.

Working Conditions

Maintenance engineers often work shifts, including nights and weekends, to support continuous manufacturing operations and are frequently required to be on call.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
