  • Lead accident investigations and identify root causes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Intervene to correct unsafe practices and ensure conformance with safety protocols.
  • Deliver routine health and safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Draft, update, and distribute safety information to crews and subcontractors.
  • Analyze safety data, recommend improvements, and track KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure timely resolution of safety issues.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to work and mentor diverse groups.
  • Ability to influence the development of a strong onsite safety culture.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to deliver in person training material and presentations to a larger audience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Ability to act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and build confidence in the safety program.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety management and Occupational Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to follow up on incidents, inspections and corrective actions until resolution.
  • Experience maintaining safety databases and preparing periodic reports.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days including weekends.

Education & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Eligible or working toward CRSP, CSO, or similar certification.
  • Eligible for Advanced First Aid.

Why You Should Apply

  • Up to 5% RRSP matching.
  • Career advancement, training, and education opportunities.
  • Travel allowance.
  • Four weeks vacation.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $90,000 – $110,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location.
