Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping and inventory activities.
  • Assist with a broad range of warehouse tasks. Allocate labour by area/activity based on volumes.
  • Ensure compliance with service deadlines, inventory accuracy, productivity.
  • Check the conformity of goods (quantity, quality, damage).
  • Optimize flows (layout, locations, order grouping).
  • Onboard and train new employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Perform inventory receipts in ERP system.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts as well as annual physical inventory.
  • Contact transport for shipments.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with Transportation, Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning to quickly resolve exceptions (delays, emergencies, shortages).
  • Perform all other related tasks as assigned.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce Health & Safety rules.
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, incident investigations and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure that all occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements are met and record relevant information in the EHS system.

Job Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center supervision.
  • Experience with ERP (e.g., Sage X3, P21)
  • Control of warehousing processes (receipt, put-away, picking, packing, shipping).
  • OHS (CNESST), WHMIS, TDG; Forklift license required.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Field leadership, sense of urgency, decision-making and problem solving.
  • Clear communication and organizational management.
  • Strong reporting skills while meeting deadlines.
