Position Overview:

We're looking for a Non-Ferrous Processor to join our growing team at CFT Recycling. This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction or other hands-on labour environments who enjoys working with tools and equipment. You'll be responsible for sorting, handling, and processing various metals, while ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient worksite every day.

The wage for this position is $20-23 per hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet, direct, and support customers during unloading to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Inspect incoming loads for ferrous, non-ferrous metals, tires and deductions to ensure proper identification and sorting.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with the scale house team.
  • Maintain accurate understanding of materials and proper handling.
  • Maintain and sweep the shred pad; ensure work areas remain safe and tidy.
  • Assist with offloading and facilitate material movement when required.
  • Operate equipment (loader, forklift, skid steer) as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction, general labour, or similar hands-on work environments is required.
  • Experience using power tools and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Forklift experience or certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
