Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Administrator to support, optimize, and manage enterprise data environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Snowflake administration, data security, and performance tuning, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the administration and maintenance of Snowflake Data Warehouse environments.
Manage user access, roles, permissions, and ensure strong security standards.
Perform Snowflake performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Manage data pipelines, integrations, and Snowflake components such as Warehouses, Databases, and Stages.
Implement data governance, compliance, and best practices across platforms.
Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, and Analytics teams for smooth operations.
Support automation of administrative tasks using Python, Shell scripts, or SQL.
Work on version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in Data Administration, with at least 3–5 years dedicated to Snowflake.
Strong expertise in Snowflake RBAC, roles, security, warehouses, and resource monitors.
Proficiency in SQL, SnowSQL, and performance tuning.
Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Informatica, Matillion).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) related to Snowflake integrations.
Hands-on experience with data modeling, storage optimization, and cost governance.
Familiarity with Python/Shell scripting for administrative automations.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Snowflake certification(s).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Exposure to data cataloging or governance tools (Collibra, Alation, etc.).
Knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, or related data ecosystem components.
