WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Certified Millwright or 3rd year apprentice, with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanor for this role. The successful candidate will have Red Seal designation or enrolled with Skilled Trades and focus on safety, quality and interpersonal skills to effectively participate in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures as directed by the company
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and positive team attitude
  • Hold a valid Driver's license
  • Red seal certified or 3rd Year Apprentice
  • Maintain and service equipment including: pumps, gearboxes, chain-drive, conveyors, belts, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Install, inspect and repair of mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Experienced in Hydraulic systems troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blue prints, plans and schematics
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Commitment to working safely
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 lbs
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment
  • Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems
  • Working at heights is required
  • Over time and some weekend work is required.
