The "Warehouse Picker and Packer" is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment or delivery. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth warehouse operations by ensuring products are handled safely, packed neatly, and orders are fulfilled on time. The position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carefully locate and pick items from designated storage areas based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Pack products securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit, paying close attention to packaging quality.
  • Verify order contents against packing lists or electronic systems before sealing shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, always adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) to move inventory efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment to support accurate inventory management.
  • Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents immediately to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in reading labels, order sheets, or digital devices used for order processing.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or order fulfillment is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy packages safely (up to specified weight limits).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Certification in forklift operation or other warehouse equipment (preferred but not mandatory).
