Documentation Specialist I role will provide product label documentation support for new product development as well as continued compliance for existing products in Zebra's portfolio. The role will involve working closely with our Engineering teams and ODM/JDM partners globally to support Label documentation for Regulatory Certifications and other labelling requirement needs.

**Location: Onsite in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

M-Th on-site Friday hybrid work from home. 8:30am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • With the oversight and coaching from a manager or team lead, be able to learn and use the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system:

    o Creation, enrichment, and maintenance of item master records

o Project and engineering document release

o Data Analysis and Reporting

o BOM (Bills of Material) Creation and Management

o Engineering Change Management

o Software Releases
- With some oversight, provide end-to-end New Product Program Label Support: work indirectly and directly with Program Team members to document and release all products as required
- Provide Label documentation support to Support Service, Custom Products, Product Marketing, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Engineering on release and maintenance of sustaining or new products, or changes
- Support the business for specific projects such as but not limited to:

o clean-up projects

o cost reduction projects

o regulatory initiatives, etc.
- Maintain high level of interaction with customers, suppliers, and other team members via teleconference or in person meetings as applicable
- Support label creation using various design software and tools

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business Management, or related field
  • Experience preferably in engineering, business management, operations (manufacturing) environment or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Oracle Agile PLM experience
  • Mergers and Acquisitions prior experience
  • Database systems and product structure (BOM) knowledge
  • Data Management
  • Business Process Improvement and Documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office
  • Team player, self-starter and detail focused
  • Familiarity with Zebra products is a plus
  • Certification from PMI preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written, in English
  • Certified in Adobe CC Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with Sharepoint and Jira tools
  • Experience creating regulatory product labels preferrable
  • Experience in Zebra Designer Software preferrable
  • Experience using a Zebra Barcode Printer preferrable
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customers.

Salary: CAD $50,000 - CAD $75,800 yearly

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 5% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
