Mechanical Assemblers
in the
Life Sciences Industry
in
Ottawa, Ontario.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you are responsible for overseeing the proper function of assembly lines. The ideal candidate for this role has technical abilities, is detail oriented, and has great time management.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all actions required on the assembly line
- Evaluate quality and productivity problems to minimize defects and maximize throughout
- Make required material changes in a timely manner to minimize lost processing time
- Record accurate, legible data in a timely manner at all points in the process, in accordance withdocumented procedures and GMP standards and practices
- Assemble raw materials/components according to procedures and provided diagrams, drawings, schematics, and/or descriptions
- Work with technicians, engineers, and supervisors and act as support when problems arise
Requirements
- High School Diploma, minimum requirement (WES Evaluation required if education has been obtained outside of Canada)
- Previous experience in manufacturing is an asset
- Strong detail oriented skills, an aptitude for quality is preferred
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be willing to have a background check conducted as part of the onboarding process
Total Compensation
- $ $24.17 hourly
- Flexible shift options to choose from including days, evenings, and nights
- Shift premiums for evening and night shifts

- 4% additional pay, paid weekly in lieu of vacation
